  • At Dossy, we ensure that groups do not experience spam calls by using unique codes for initial login.

  • Our team provides help with setup, and our device plans include remote technical support, ensuring a seamless experience.

  • Family Members and Volunteers can set the times they are unavailable. During these times, your profile will not be able to receive calls.

  • No, Dossy is only charged based on one group. Groups can have as many family and friend connections as they like.

  • Dossy is available in the iOS app store across 75 countries. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about further access.

  • iPhone & iPad require iOS 13.0 or later. Mac requires macOS 11.0 or later.

  • Yes, a good WiFi connection will give you the best video experience. Otherwise, you need a strong 4G or 5G mobile data connection.

  • Still waiting. Dossy is exclusive to iOS. However, we are working on the Android build soon and will be ready to release it later this year.

  • Yes, it qualifies as ‘Social Support’ for schemes like NDIS and Home Care Packages.

  • The safety and security of the Dossy community is our top priority. To achieve this, we adhere strictly to the National Volunteer Standards. Every volunteer undergoes a comprehensive National Police Check and completes essential training to ensure they are fully equipped and ready to be a virtual companion.

  • Dossy values user feedback to foster meaningful connections. After every community call, participants can express their desire to reconnect with a thumbs-up. If both parties agree, we prioritise this connection for future interactions. Conversely, if either party selects thumbs-down, we ensure the pair is not matched again. This feedback system helps us continuously refine and enhance the quality of interactions within the Dossy community.

  • Yes, setting up Dossy is designed to be incredibly simple. Each Dossy kit arrives with the iPad, stand, and data pre-configured and logged into the user’s family group. Just unwrap the device, plug it into power, and tap to start connecting. For added convenience, we offer the option to deliver the device to an alternate address for assistance with the setup process.

    Note: After completing our training and verification process, you will need an iPhone and a reliable internet connection to answer calls.

  • As a Dossy volunteer, there's no fixed commitment beyond making yourself available in the app during times that work for you to answer calls. Before starting, you'll need to complete our training and compliance process. Once verified, you'll gain access to the platform, ready to connect and share moments with others at your convenience.
